Welcome to the 57th Annual Northwest Mathematics Conference!
We are really excited to offer a rich program for teachers across all grade levels.

Please note: This app is a convenient way for you to plan which sessions you want to attend. Despite the app saying "Reserved Sessions", no session has reserved space. All sessions are on a first-come first-served basis. Most of our meeting rooms are very large so we are hopeful that you will get into the sessions you would like to. In the rare case that a session is full, we are confident that there are other excellent options for you to attend.

Using 3-Act Tasks to Position Students as Capable Mathematicians

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
3-Act Tasks provide opportunities to give students access to mathematics and take ownership of their learning by making conjectures, taking risks, and testing out their ideas. Participants will consider how 3-Act Tasks can transform learning and learners by using them to elicit and use student thinking to position all students as capable as they engage in the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
